Possibly the easiest way to get started promoting an infographic is submitting it to all the various infographic directories.
Assuming your infographic is a good one, you should find a number of these sites will publish your image. This means not only a decent number of near-instant links, but also a chance for other website owners and bloggers to discover your infographic and publish it on their own site.
However there’s a problem.
All over the internet there are dozens of lists of infographic submission sites and directories, many with hundreds of sites, yet virtually all of the well-known lists are now seriously out-of-date.
Many of the sites mentioned in these lists no longer exist, or haven’t been updated for months (even years). Others that were free now charge a pretty penny to accept submissions, not to mention how traffic and authority levels have changed recently.
I therefore thought it was time for an update; a fresh version specially for 2016. So I set to work.
Over the last few weeks I’ve gathered every infographic directory I could possibly find. I removed duplicates, dead sites and those no longer being updated. I also checked the traffic levels with Alexa and examined their Domain Authority.
What we’re left with is the most accurate list of infographic submission sites available right now. All of the sites below have been checked and tested in the last few weeks, meaning that content marketers looking to distribute their infographics now have up up-to-date list of sites to consider.
(Note that the list of sites below are in database format, so that you can sort them by cost, DA or traffic, in order to find the “sweet spot” for your projects).
If you find the list useful please consider linking to it or sharing it on social media; after all, I could have just kept this list to myself… 😉
Do you know of any current infographic directories that are missing from the list? Have you found any changes that need making? If so, please leave your thoughts in the comments section below…
